Our Play Science Workshop is a one-day training for early childhood educators and caregivers on the science of play. This powerful training reconnects participants with their play spirit and introduces the principles of play science.

One-Day One Presenter

$10,000

A full-day introduction to Play Science led by our Chief Play Scientist. Includes a reflective journal, play planner, breakfast, lunch, and snacks. Must provide space for 25 teachers and 1 facilitator.

One-Day Two Presenters

$15,000

A full-day introduction to Play Science, including a 2.5-hour self-active play experience. Includes reflective journal, play planner, breakfast, lunch, and snacks. Must provide space for 40 teachers and 2 facilitators.

Two-Day Three Presenters

$25,000

A two-day deep dive into Play Science, including a 3.5-hour self-active play experience and breakout sessions on visible learning through play and play action research. Includes reflective journal, play planner, breakfast, lunch, and snacks. Must provide space for 50 teachers and 3 facilitators.

All About Play

$10 per course, 3 for $25, 12 for $100

Each month, we offer a play course for parents, educators, and caregivers. Monthly courses are grouped into four topics:

Play for Your Mind, Body, and Soul

Play Needs: Time, Space, and Permission

Play Challenges: Aggression, Violence, and Exclusion

In Defense of Play: Rights, Responsibilities, and Advocacy

We offer virtual and hybrid courses for parents, teachers, caregivers, and advocates. Courses range from 1-6 months and include both synchronous and asynchronous components. Add site visits for in-person observations and discussions.

Play Pedagogy: Theory & Practice

$225 per person

This immersive 3-month course is for early childhood educators and caregivers who want to explore the theory and practice of play pedagogy. The course includes 2 synchronous and 1 asynchronous meeting each month. Site visit add-ons: $5,000.

Teacher as Researcher: Playlab Action Research

$ 600 per person

This course is for experienced early childhood educators who want to explore the impact of child-led free play in their classrooms. Over 6 months, participants will design and implement an action research study that uses Playlab as an intervention to examine its impact on student learning and development. Site visit add-ons: $5,000.
